Ruthvika GEMA Student speaker Contest National winner

Rutvika, a small Class 6 student from DPS NTPC Korba, surprised everyone when she won the GEMA Student Speaker Contest. The theme of his speech was the “future of technology,” which was not only an academic subject but also a thought-provoking idea. This young speaker showcased her talent on an international platform through her words and confidence.

Rutvika’s victory was not the result of one day of practice. She did her preparation in a very disciplined and smart way. She understood the flow of the speech through subtitles, improved her expression and delivery by observing herself in front of the mirror, and recorded and analysed every practice. All these techniques took out the nervousness from within her.
But her mother and grandparents played the biggest role in her preparation. Whenever Rutvika was not able to speak in front of them, they would listen to her speech on the phone, guide her, and boost her courage every time. This emotional support became the real reason for her victory.

For Rutvika, every part of the competition was a priceless experience. When asked what his favorite moment was, he said, “The whole experience was my favorite.” This means that she not only enjoys winning but also enjoys every practice, every mistake, and every improvement. This mentality is what makes it different.

Public speaking is not a hobby but a passion for the verse. She actively participates in almost every speaking program in the school. She prefers to speak by holding the mike, joining with the audience, and changing her thoughts into words. This contest took her to a new level—where her voice reached not just the school, but the world.

Rutvika strongly encourages all the children to participate in this contest. In her words, “This is a rare opportunity where you can present your ideas in front of an international audience. Such opportunities do not come often.” She says that the fear of the stage can be overcome only with practice, you just need courage and dedication.

Rutvika’s story teaches us that victory is not limited to the trophy. The real victory occurs when we overcome our internal fear, recognize our talent, and present it in the world. He has shown an example that if there is support, dedication, and confidence, no platform is too small.
